This recipe for Braaibroodjie, which literally means "grilled bread", is and authentic South African cooking method with my recipe coming from Tara's Multicultural Table. If grilling is not an option a panini press works just fine.

8 slices bread
1/4 c. apricot blatjang
1 roma tomato, sliced
Thinly sliced red onion
4 slices white cheddar cheese
Butter for the bread

Divide the chutney between the bread, top with slice cheese, sliced onion, and sliced tomato. Place the second bread slice on top. 

Brush the outside of the bread with butter. 

Grill in a panini press or in a pan.
