Lokum (Turkish Delight)
Israeli shuks are pretty exciting anyway, but especially if you are a foodie. Which I am. I loved walking down the bustling corridors with people calling out in and displays piled high was all kinds of goodies. Nuts, and fruits, and pastries, and candies, and cheese, and anything you can think of.
Halva is especially popular but a close second has to be lokum, or Turkish delight. A soft, chewy candy that comes in an array of bright colors some with nuts and some without. Rose flavored is iconic but my favorite was a sweet yellowish one with walnuts, I think pineapple but i'm not completely certain.
