Aloo Tikka
4 large baking potatoes
1/4 c. frozen peas, thawed
1 inch nub ginger
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp. garam masala
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 handful cilantro, chopped
1 green chili, chopped
2 Tbsp. rice flour or cornstarch
2 Tbsp. breadcrumbs
Salt to taste
1/4 c. oil
In a mortar and pestle mash the ginger, garlic, and salt. In a bowl combine the garlic ginger mash, garam masala, chili powder, cilantro, green chili, rice flour, and bread crumbs.
Boil the potatoes whole until soft in the center. Remove the skins and mash with a fork. You want them slightly chunky in parts. Add the other bowl of spices and the peas. Mix to combine and form in to patties.
Place the oil in a frying pan and heat. Fry the patties on both sides until browned.
