Jamaican Soursop Punch
When I was looking for info on the food of Guyana for this weeks series I noticed that soursop is a popular fruit. This soursop punch, with the recipe from Jamaica, was a great addition to our dinner. Soursop isn't something I could source anywhere at all so I went with cans of soursop juice, which surprisingly comes from the Dollar store.
3 (16.9 oz.) can soursop juice
1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
3 limes
1 liter lemon-lime sauce
1 tsp. vanilla extract
several dashes nutmeg
Juice the limes. Combine the soursop juice, limes juice, juiced lime halves, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and nutmeg and chill for at least 1 hour. Just before serving remove the lime halves and add the chilled soda. Serve immediately.
