Caruso Pasta

1 lb. pasta
3 Tbsp. butter
1 onions, chopped
1/2 c. mushrooms, chopped fine
1 Tbsp. flour
1/4 c. walnuts, chopped fine
2 beef bouillon cubes, crumbled
2 c. ham, cooked and cubed
2 c. milk, warm
1 c. heavy cream
black pepper
pinch nutmeg
4 oz. hard cheese (Manchego, Parmesan, Asiago)
Fresh chopped parsley

Cook the pasta according to package directions. 

 Heat the butter in a medium skillet and add the onions. Saute until the onions are starting to look cooked and translucent and add the mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes before adding the walnuts and flour and continuing to cook for another 2 minutes.

Slowly stir in the milk and then the cream. Add in the beef cubes, ham, black pepper, and nutmeg. Simmer over medium for 2-3 minutes and then stir in the parsley and the grated hard cheese, I prefer manchego.

Serve over cooked pasta.
