Kljukusa - Bosnian Potato cake


Kljukusa is a Bosnian treat of grated potatoes with milk, cream, or yogurt and just enough garlic to make it interesting. Baking time for me took about 40 minutes but most of the recipes I saw called for less baking time. So keep an eye out.

3 large baking potatoes, peeled
3 Tbsp. flour
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
several large dashes pepper
1/3 c. milk
Sunflower or canola oil
Sour cream, to serve

Pre-heat the oven to 350. 

Grate the potatoes in to a bowl. Add the flour, garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine and disperse the flour. Add the milk and stir to combine. 

Grease a pie pan and add the potato mix. Pat to smooth the top. 

Place the pie pan in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the top is set. Brush the top with more oil and bake another 20 minutes until golden. Remove from the oven and allow to stand for 5 minutes before cutting.
