Yue Bing or Chinese Moon Cakes

I got these on a whim as a way to try something new, they were so pretty I couldn't resist. Moon cakes are eaten in the fall in little slices with tea.

 I don't want to say I regret buying them exactly, I'm glad I tried them. But they were not something I really enjoyed eating. The taste was similar to the crispy candies that I did like due to them both being made from sesame. The texture I think was the downfall for me. However I would be happy to try a hand made, not prepackaged, version of them to compare.

The tin however I loved and will be keeping.
