Salpicón de Frutas

I love ending a week dedicated to one country with dessert. And this one was fun. And simple. Which is my motto right now, delicious but simple. The soda called for in this recipe is typically Colombiana la nuestra, which I couldn't find locally. I asked around the internet and the most common said it wasn't strawberry or cream soda at all, but that was about the closest they would come up with. So I used both of those. And then if you like fruit cocktail, sangria, and floats, or any one of those things, I'm pretty sure you will enjoy this.

1 (12 oz.) bottle strawberry soda
1 (12 oz.) bottle crème soda
1 large apple, chopped
2 Banana, sliced
2 c. grapes, cut in half
1 lb. strawberries, sliced
2 c watermelon, cut in small cubes
6 Scopes Vanilla ice cream

Chop all the fruit except the banana in to a pitcher and cover with the strawberry soda. Chill for 30 minutes.

Add the crème soda and the banana. Divide between 6 glasses and top with a scoop of ice cream.
